XP won't read the original user profile - workaround

it is the original profile having gone into a backup (bak) state that caused the profile not loaded

(1) rename the profile carrying the same name to .old;
(2) delete the .bak extension of that .bak profile;
(3) reset the RefCount to 0;
(4) reset the State to 0

it works.

everything is back, much more the intact desktop icon layout
