How to Boot an Ubuntu ISO from Your Hard Drive or Load Ubuntu Live CD ISO Contents from Hard Drive without a Live CD via EasyBCD (no Neogrub, grub or grub2)
The process is simple.
Just install EasyBCD.
No need to install NeoGrub.
No need to edit menu.1st
No more script.
- point to a ubuntu iso file on the hard drive;
- select "load from memory" ("run from drive" might work also probably);
- IMPORTANT! extract the contents of the iso to a hard disc partition for the iso entry to work. (don't ask why contents of the iso have to be extracted onto the hard drive. Just do it!)
- "add entry" to add the iso entry to windows bootloader. Done!
Enjoy booting into Ubuntu from a LiveCD on hard drive and you can select "try Ubuntu" or "install Ubuntu" as usual.
